An incredible expression from the world’s oldest licensed distillery, the Bushmills 25 Year Old was initially matured in bourbon barrels and sherry butts, before being lovingly finished in a single first-fill ruby port pipe oak cask for a further 21 years. The casks are made from delicate European oak, and specially sourced from a family-run cooperage. Only 3,500 bottles available. Bottled at 46% abv, and free from chill filtration.

Expect notes of blackberry, plum, honey and toasted oak on the nose, leading to luxurious flavours of sweet almonds, caramelized fruit, dark chocolate and hints of mixed spice on the palate. The finish brings a port sweetness, with lasting touches of warm, spiced oak.
