At a bold 58.1% abv, this cask strength expression of Redbreast 12 gives a glimpse of the definitive single pot still Irish whiskey at its natural, full flavoured taste. The succulent dram has been matured in the finest ex-bourbon American oak barrels and ex-Oloroso sherry butts, for a dram loaded with complex flavour.
Expect notes of exotic fruits, dried apricots and assorted spices on the nose, leading to a rich flavour of dried fruit, mixed spices, sweet vanilla and a touch of oak. The finish is satisfyingly long, with the spiced fruit flavour slowly giving away to toasted oak and barley.
